I miss the kids...my sister's kids that is

My sister, brother-in-law and kids came into town the past weekend. I cannot tell you how weird it is to say "kids." Meaning, my sister is a mother to TWO kids. So strange to say out loud.

I only have one picture with the kids from this weekend {ignore my crazy hair} but I will treasure the memories and special times we shared with the Sullivan family.

Television Tuesday

Y'all I have an addiction. I am addicted to watching TV. I have too many shows that I follow weekly and as some shows reach the end of their season another show's season begins.

The good thing is most of the shows I follow I watch with David and we love watching them together. It's fun for us and everyone says, "do it now before you have kids." So we are fully partaking in the joys of relaxing on the couch and catching up on our shows.

My embarrassing list of current shows include:
True Blood, Entourage, Hung, Mad Men, Rubicon, Jersey Shore and Gossip Girl.

Then we watch Dexter and Weeds on Netflix when they are available.
And soon we will be adding Boardwalk Empire (premiers September 19) and Modern Family (premiers September 22nd).

Can you pick the one show David will not watch with me?!? ;) Which by the way- I am loving the fact that Gossip Girl's season premiere was all about Paris!

I loved the fashion and how they even showed Serena with a Laduree bag a couple times. It's the green bag above. Laduree was one of my favorite places in Paris when I went there in 2007 with Caroline. They have the best macarons ever.

Baylor Football

This Saturday we drove to Waco to see Baylor beat Buffalo!

We also enjoyed a George's Big-O.

That right there is only $2.50!! I really miss Waco prices.

We got to see the new Freshman class/Baylor Line run onto the field. Their jersey's say 14- as in 2014! Yikes. I feel old.

And we got to catch up with Melissa and Jdub!

Note to self- take pictures with friends before you got outside and sweat more than you've ever sweat in your life.

Things I'm Loving Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!

Things I'm loving today:

1. I am officially the proud owner of a Dallas Public Library card!

I decided to get one and check out some children's books for my niece, Kate before she comes to visit us. This brings me to #2.

2. My Brother-in-Law, Sister, Niece and Nephew are coming to Dallas tomorrow! They are having to come to Dallas unexpectedly because of a family member's illness- so that's not fun- but I can't help but get excited that I get to see these two...

3. Free Pinkberry! I have purchased enough Pinkberry to get 1 free...and today was my day! I love Pinkberry anytime but it sure did taste good free!

disclaimer- this is not my cup of Pinkberry- I got the small but ate it too fast to take a picture.

4. Perusing through my Pottery Barn catalogs and thinking of all the ways I can decorate our house for the fall.

Of course the trick is to "copy" Pottery Barn's ideas by going to Home Goods or Hobby Lobby! At 1/3 the price!

5. Sleep. I am loving sleep. Today I feel more rested then I have in several days. I think the trick was going to sleep without our TV on! I don't think David and I can do that every night because we are addicted...but it was nice for one night.

What are you loving today?

Labor Day Weekend

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend! We had a great time with my parents who flew into Dallas from Denver Thursday night.

We got up super early and drove to Arkansas Saturday morning for the first game of the season against Tennesee Tech. The Hogs won 44-3! I actually felt sad for the other team...but not too sad!

Left to Right: Mom, Me, David, Amber (brother's girlfriend) and Dad

Right before the team runs out through the "A"...you can sort of see 1. how sunny it was on the other side and 2. how many people there were...

David and I enjoying the game...I think my dad in the background was worried for Rhett!

With Amber

Rhett (#59) did a great job!! But I only got pics of him on the sideline..I think he snapped 7 times! So proud

Woo Pig Sooie!!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

Today is my parent's 33rd wedding anniversary!

I wish I had pictures from their wedding on my computer because they are amazingly funny. My dad is in a white tux with a peach shirt...ya you heard me. peach. That was the wedding color. He had the best sideburns ever and would fit right into the set of Saturday Night Fever.

I can't let him live it down. Would you?

Love you mom and dad! Can't wait to cook them a yummy dinner tonight!

Things I'm Loving Thursday

So I've officially decided to steal this great idea each week...why you ask? because I had more comments on last week's post than ever and anyone who blogs can agree with me that comments make it more fun ;) So keep them coming!

To see the blog I stole it from (thanks Brittany!) click HERE. Afterall she is a fellow Baylor Bear- so I don't think she minds?!?

Things I'm loving today.

1. I love starting my Thursday out in the rain- without an umbrella- in my work dress- on my knees, getting wet and dirty- looking under my car to see what is making that awful sound-don't worry I fixed it but was late to work- gotta love that. {note sarcasm}

2. Ok I know EVERYONE is saying they love this too- but I really do love it and therefore it must be on the list. Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.

It's beyond delicious {I order it "skinny" so I'm less guilty} and reminds me every time I put the cup to my lips- that I love all things fall.

Don't believe me? Click HERE to see my post from last year.

3. A quick color change. No i'm not talking about fall anymore. I'm talking about going to the nail salon across from my office on my lunch break so they can quickly change my polish color. Gotta love that it takes 15 min start to finish and costs $5. Now I'm no longer embarassed to shake your hand.

I'm just glad I'm not a hand model...so hard to get a good picture of my hand...this was the best one :( why does my pinkie do that? oh well. I digress.

4. I love that I got to talk to my sister, Shawna for 1 hour last night! This is a record ya'll. We never get to talk that long. She's probably really tired today becaues of it...so thank you Shawna for staying up late and talking with me :)

We would talk for an hour every night if we could. But the time difference between Dallas and New York plus the fact that she has two kids under 3 makes it difficult.

I'm also loving that I got to see new pics of my niece and nephew on her blog...check it out HERE. I am such a proud auntie.

5. Italy. Yup- I love Italy. I've always loved Italy. I selected to do a project on Italy back in 3rd grade, I've {fortunately} traveled there twice and I studied Italian in college... don't ask me to say anything because I've {sadly} forgotten it all- but I love all things Italy. Watching Eat,Pray, Love this week has given me the Italy itch that I get every so often. I want to go there so badly. Since I can't afford the plane ticket/time off work. I will just go there right now.

The village of Monterosso on Cinque Terre (5 Towns)

Verona, Italy

Rome, Italy

And my most favorite town in Italy thus far- Sorrento, Italy

There that's better.

What are you loving today?
