Tan In A Can

I think I have found the best tan in a can! My sister, Alicia recommended this and I tried it last night. It's pretty awesome!

You just spray your desired tanning area and rub it in. It just washes off with soap and water.

It's so easy and the BEST part is it doesn't smell!! David would always know when I rubbed tanning lotion on but not with this stuff :).

Yes it says "legs" but I used it on my arms and chest and it worked great!

Great discovery just in time for spring. :)

Caroline and Jerad- Engaged!

Congratulations to my one of my oldest friends! Caroline and Jerad got engaged yesterday.

David and I met them at Bob's Steak and Chop house for champagne and dessert after their dinner.

The champagne was extra special! Caroline bought it from the Laduree in Paris and has been saving it for a special occasion. I think this will do :)

I have known Caroline since I was a Freshman in High School {over 10 years ago}! We have shared many phases of life together and I'm so excited to share this special time with her.

Congrats you two!!

My Husband Can Cook!

Seriously y'all! He is such a great cook! Look at what he made us for our anniversary dinner at home. {Yes, that's our picture!}

Roasted lamb chops with mint sauce served with roasted asparagus and potato wedges.

Yum.

The table was complete with beautiful white hydrangeas he surprised me with :) AND...

...the FREE anniversary cake from the bakery that did our wedding cakes.

White almond cake with buttercream icing. It was DELICIOUS!

Trip Details

It's always hard coming back from a vacation! I would much rather be back in Santa Barbara but luckily I have pictures to take me back anytime :)

Shall I start from the beginning? I landed in LAX early on Friday and since I beat my whole family there I caught up on some reading. {Currently reading "Same Kind of Different as Me" and loving it}. One of my college friends lives in the Hollywood area and her sweet husband braved the LA traffic to pick me up so I could have lunch with her. Whitney and I were Kappas and SING chairs together at Baylor. It was super fun getting to catch up with her in her "hood." I just wished we had more time to visit!!

Then Shawna and I had to get to a lingerie luncheon for Alicia at Cecconis. I loved the private room we were in. It was awesome!!

Afterwards, I squeezed in some play time with these two.

My parents flew in late that night so the kids were so happy to see them the next morning. I love this picture of Kate and Papaw in their PJ's. :)

We had a little impromptu photo shoot in the beautiful Greystone Park.

Then we had the awesome brunch at the SoHo House. See blog post below for pictures and explanation :). After brunch Shawna, Alicia and I arranged the flowers for her wedding. This was a HUGE feat but we did pretty good for being amateurs!!

Dinner Saturday night was at my cousin Deanna's house. It was so fun to see this side of our family {my mom's side} and where they live.

Sunday was all wedding :) Alicia and Deddy were supposed to have their wedding outside but this day happened to be the ONE day of the year that it rains non-stop, all day long. I really don't think it let up for ONE minute. Thankfully, they found a venue and kept us all dry!!

It was an awesome day!

Monday we left L.A. and headed to Santa Barbara and the Santa Rita Hills for wine tasting with Shawna and David.

We had an awesome dinner at Hendry's Boathouse. The sunset was absolutely beautiful!!

Tuesday we had massages then headed back out to the Santa Ynez Valley for more wine tastings. I could not get enough of these hills!!

We loved our hotel in Santa Barbara- The Canary Hotel. I highly recommend this place to anyone! It was beautiful! Our favorite part was the rooftop pool and deck.

Our dinner on the last night was at The Stonehouse at the San Ysidro Ranch Resort. All I can say is YUM. It was decadent, romantic and the perfect way to end our trip.

See why I want to go back??
