Today was my last day in Colorado before I have to head back to Waco for my last semester. We woke up very early and drove to Breckenridge praying the whole way there due to weather. We made it fine and the day turned out to be perfect for skiing! The end of the day got a bit more challenging to see the slopes....something quite important I must say when you are skiing down the mountain from the top...you might want to be able to see the slope to know when to turn...i mean might!
I really can't complain because I was given yet another opportunity on this trip to admire God's creations in particular the rocky mountains! I love skiing for many reasons: recreation, a good challenge, work out, bonding time with your chair lift partner, a chance to laugh at others falling (well the non traumatic ones at least..) but my favorite has always been the chance to ski down a beautiful mountain covered with the fresh powdered snow God has seemed to bless me with the last few times I have gone skiing, surrounded by beautiful pine trees, and every once in a while getting to look out over the mountain range from the very top. Today I was allowed the chance to experience all of the above. I am pleased to say no falls for me (well I kind of fell over while reading the map billboard and I am therefore not counting this since I was not "skiing"). It was wonderful and refreshing before heading back to school....I am soaking every last minute in believe me :)
I leave you all with this thought on my 2nd post..we have so many opportunities to admire God's creations...take them. The mountains to me have been a reminder of the awesome power He has and I am so thankful He has allowed me to enjoy them time after time.

My favorite picture has to be Rhett in the ski pose. Very ferocious. Great shots of the mountains. Wish we both had some more time away from school/work.
I so wish I was there to ski and admire with you. Next time, next time. :) We'll have to put Kate in ski bunny school. Won't that be fun!?
I love Rhett's pose too! I was laughing so hard at him trying on all the old ski gear. And I thought of Kate being in ski school when I saw the little ones all day long having so much fun! Those little snow babies were the cutest :) Thanks for commenting it's so fun!
