Tagged!

I was just recently tagged by my dear friend Lindsey...

These were hard for me! But here it goes:

1. Who is your style icon?

I have no clue...but I love ANYTHING from:

J.Crew

or Anthropologie

2. What is your favorite Socialite Lit book?

Hmm I'm not sure I've ready any books to be classified in this way. So I will just say my favorite book that I've read lately is: Sacred Marriage by Gary Powell. Such a powerful way to view marriage. The premise is "What if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy?"

3. Favorite party theme?

Well it's a theme I've recently thought of and I haven't thrown a party with it yet...but I think it would be TOO funny.

"27 dresses"

Everyone invited wears a bridesmaid dress...because if your in my crowd we've got a few in our closet.

4. Go to Halloween Costume?

Well I have been something new each year for Halloween...but my favorite was two years ago I was Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's...I could repeat that one any day!!

I am the one on the far left :)

5. Extravagance you can't live without?

Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream...It feels like heaven on your skin. I put it on my hands ever night before climbing into bed. If you get the big tub- it will last you over a year!! It's amazing!

6. Living person you admire?

Beth Moore

I love this blurb from her bio and pretty sums up why I admire her.

"Beth founded Living Proof Ministries in 1994 with the purpose of teaching women how to love and live on God’s Word. She has written numerous books and Bible studies, including Breaking Free, Believing God, and The Patriarchs, that have been read by women of all ages, races, and denominations. Through the years, American missionaries and expatriates have taken the Bible studies overseas, resulting in Beth Moore Bible study groups popping up all over the world. Upon completion of a tour of New England this fall, Beth’s Living Proof Live conferences will have taken her to all fifty states since 1994. The events have been attended by more than 658,000 women.

Ever the storyteller, Beth is known to pepper her teaching with stories and poems written from the perspective of pertinent characters. She communicates with great energy, passion, humor, warmth, and grace."

7. Greatest Fear?

I am going to go more with a recent fear- losing a family member before their time. Lately we have been talking a lot about terrorist attacks but I think I am fearful of a natural disaster hitting a place where my family lives (5 different states)a car accident, an illness etc...I don't live my life in fear..but I can't deny that this does scare me and I fear having to ever face this scenario that has been a reality for so many families.

8. Trait you deplore in yourself?

I am strong willed...which can also mean stubborn. And I will even go as far as to say defensive...It is very hard for me to say I'm sorry but I've gotten better over the years thanks to the help of David and the good Lord convicting my heart.

9. Which talent would you most like to have?

A green thumb. I want to learn to garden SO bad! I want an herb garden and a beautiful floral garden...and I can't keep anything alive!! I don't even know what's a weed and what's not ?!? yikes.

10. Greatest Achievement?

Maintaining strong friendships and relationships with those I love..between friends, family, and my husband- I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.

I now tag: Melissa at Deleriously Happy YOU'RE IT
