Snow and Moving

So in case you didn't hear- we had 12.5 inches of snow last Thursday in Dallas! It was an all time record high...which is pretty cool to witness.

Here are some pictures David got of our house and street with his iphone. A lot of people lost power for several days- we were lucky it was only for a couple hours at our new house.

We were lucky that the snow on the roads at least cleared enough for us to drive to Salina, Kansas to meet my parents with a moving truck full of furniture...

I didn't take any pictures of this joyous occasion...but it was SO nice to see both of them. We found the only non-chain restaurant in Salina and had a Valentine's dinner. Probably the cheapest steakhouse I've ever been to but we didn't complain. The food was great- at a great price.

We got up early Sunday and drove back to Dallas- well I followed David who was in the moving truck.

We started moving immediately upon getting back from Salina on Sunday with the help of our BEST FRIEND BILL!! Thank you Bill for your help!!

We are still moving...and probably will be for the next month, but it is SO exciting to start setting up our home together!

I will post pictures as soon as I get the rooms put together...which may not be until after the wedding!!

Meeting Cade

I finally got to meet my precious nephew, Cade Michael this past weekend. Although the circumstance of why we got to meet each other were sad, it was a bright glimpse into a sad situation.

Wedding Dreams

So I have been having lots of wedding dreams for a while....I wish I thought of blogging them earlier because they were too funny but now I can't remember anything funny from my dreams but David has started having wedding dreams and he had one last night that i thought I MUST share!

He wrote me an email at work today then at the bottom of the email he wrote:

"P.S. Remind me to shave before the wedding because in my dream last night I apparently forgot what time our wedding was and was trying to shower and (didn’t shave) and ended up being late to the wedding.

We were also having 4 separate ceremonies because we had so many people that were coming that we couldn’t fit them all into one ceremony so we had to repeat it 4 times"

Too funny. So in a nutshell, David is paranoid he will forget to shave off his beard that all our grandmothers hate (but I love) and that we are inviting too many people...haha

Got a laugh.

2 Months!

2 Months today! I am SO excited and just overwhelmed with joy.

Tomorrow my Mom, Sister and niece- Kate fly into town and I CAN'T WAIT!

I take my bridal portraits Saturday and I have my first Bridal Shower Sunday!!

AND some other wonderful news- it's official, my sister is having a BOY! She is due in June and everything looks perfect and healthy!

I'm thinking of these words to the old hymn, My Savior's Love

I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus, the Nazarene,
and wonder how He could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

For me it was in the garden He prayed: "Not My will, but Thine."
He had no tears for His own griefs but sweatdrops of blood for mine.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

In pity, angels beheld Him and came from the world of light
to comfort Him in the sorrows He bore for my soul that night.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own;
He ore the burden to Calv'ry, and suffered and died alone.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

When, with the ransomed in glory, His face I at last shall see,
'Twill be my joy thro' the ages to sing of His love for me.
How marvelous! how wonderful! And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

Have a blessed Wednesday!

Calling all Prayer Warriors

Please pray for my Auntie Barbara (mom's sister) as she is in surgery as I am typing to remove a tumor in her colon. But through the surgery preps and procedures earlier this week we have discovered there is also a large malignant tumor in her throat and she has breast cancer in one of her breast.

My sister, Shawna said it well, "I find myself in constant prayer for a quick recovery and that Christ would reveal Himself as the Healer and All-Sufficient One."

If you feel lead, please join us in constant prayer.

Thank you dear friends.
